Again, a slightly limited choice due to only being in Milan for a day and half but thought I should share some of the restaurants and bars I went to!
Sadly I left it too late to book this but I have heard that the ATMosfera Tram Restaurant is amazing as you can take in the sights of Milan whilst eating your dinner – https://www.atm.it/en/AltriServizi/TempoLibero/Pages/ATMosfera.aspx
Here the bars and restaurants I visited in Milan:
Via S. Raffaele, 3, 20121 Milano MI, Italy
Situated right near the Duomo is Hotel Straf with a bar inside and outside offering happy hour appertivo and drinks. For just 10Euros you can get an Aperol Spritz (or many other cocktails) and help yourself to lots of great nibbles from 5-9pm! BARGAIN.
Relaxed atmosphere, great cocktails and good selection of apertivo!
Food Hall 7th Floor, Rinascente Piazza Duomo, 20121
Obica is part of a larger chain of restaurants in Italy, USA, Japan and London. I chose to dine here for the view of the Duomo on the rooftop. I certainly was not disappointed by the surroundings!
Unfortunately, I did not particularly rate the food or the service. We started off with some mozzarella bites (it is a mozzarella bar after all!) followed by the recommended special burger and the vegetarian pasta. Sadly, it was just all a little bland – not bad, just bland. The prices for the location were not actually that bad and I would definitely recommend to visit Obica for drinks.
Via Ponte Vetero, 14, 20121
I love Japanese so was rather sad when I stumbled upon Wasabi when I had eaten dinner! They offered a la carte menus and Japanese apertivo menus!
We stayed for a couple of drinks and had the BEST frozen strawberry daiquiri ! The staff were lovely and it was nice chilled atmosphere.
Via Fatebenefratelli, 2, 20121 Milano MI, Italy
Bioesseri was such a cute cafe in the Brera neighbourhood with a beautiful interior and seating outside.
We stopped off for breakfast and the staff were so friendly when we tried speaking Italian and helped us choose a breakfast treat! We had gorgeous pastries, some tea and fresh orange juice for around 10Euros. Loved it.
